In honor of a loyal soul.

I saw her first at Jkuat and next is when she came to Citam Thika road. She came at a time I was transitioning to serving in the teens church. I saw a great need for mentorship there and was willing to do it but didnt know how. But who is God He had lined up Marian, Vera (in purple) and I to divinely collide paths having the same desire.

She supported this idea something that was also in her. We spent time planning and got to know her and alot we had in common. She was quite organized and a home maker even before getting married. We attended premarital counselling and the season we had together slightly faded as we both took different directions.

Somehow our paths would meet oftenly and I would be admiring her life at a distance. Always wanted and talked about visiting but as usual with my procrastination and the challenging process of doing life years have passed but it never felt that long.

This blow has disrupted the course of my life for the better affirming what God has been speaking to me about. I commit myself in her honor and memory to fan into flame the things we would always talk about together and which she would have gladly supported if our life paths never split. I admire who she had grown into together with Alex and I pray now to also go at it with the seem vigor and urgency knowing life is not promised.

Clearly our life paths crossed for a reason and its true from out here looking in she has lived a beautiful and full life. Comfort to her family and great friends: you were truly privileged to have each other.

Thayu: your mum was a trustworthy and faithful believer, a loyal friend, an organised person, a giver, a fierce lover amongst many other things. Always raise your head up high always coz she might not be here but a whole part of her is in you, always draw from her love and traits from  within you...

TO BE ABSENT IN THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT IN THE LORD!
